About the film: This is a story about two boys of 14 years, Ellis and Nekboune who accidentally met during one of his walks a man hiding on an island in the Mississippi.His name is Mud: a broken tooth, a tattoo on his arm snake, gun and "happy" shirt. And Mud believes in love - it is just what you need Ellis to forget about the tense situation in the family.
Soon they begin to tinker with a boat on which Mud plans to leave the island.
