Activision today confirmed rumors that the company has signed a multi-year deal with Nickelodeon to develop and publish games that draw inspiration from the new animated CG-series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The premiere of the show took place last September in the US and in Europe in October, and the second season consisting of 26 episodes, will be launched in this year.

Activision will release the first of three scheduled games of the series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this summer. Game Developer and target platforms at the same time have not been announced.

"Fans Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remarkable in that they unite generations and are very attached to the series. "- said vice-president of Activision Publishing, Kurt Niderlou." We respect to this attachment and are eager to work with Nickelodeon to create games that embody the spirit of the series. "

Sheris Torres, vice president of entertainment products in the Nickelodeon Consumer Products, added:"We are confident that the upcoming games will capture the players their interactive surroundings and filled with action packed adventure that truly capture the essence, mood and exciting elements of 'bugs'."
